Advancing Community Engagement - The Pitt “ACE” program

Project Description

Pitt features nation-leading scholars from 16 schools and colleges, and exceptional community engagement infrastructure, including the Community Engagement Centers (CECs). Our goal is to catalyze new synergies between these two distinctive Pitt strengths. To achieve this goal, we propose an investment in a continuously broadening cohort of Pitt people dedicated to “Advancing Community Engagement” – the Pitt “ACE” program. ACE cohort members are supported in creating and launching impactful student-led university-community partnerships developed with community stakeholders. To promote the success of these partnerships, cohort members engage in peer learning of best practices and mindsets in community engagement across disciplinary barriers.
