Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Survivor Support on Campus

Project Description

Sexual misconduct victimization was reported by 26% of undergraduate women, 29% of trans and non-binary students, and 16% of all students while attending the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) (AAU, 2019). These findings highlight the urgent need to implement new data driven, inclusive prevention initiatives. Current funding does not position Pitt to comprehensively respond to this crisis in ways that will significantly reduce the rates of sexual misconduct victimization. Funds requested through the SEED 2.0 initiative will be used to facilitate new and innovative educational programs, wide-sweeping awareness building campaigns, and crucial prevention research all designed to reduce sexual misconduct victimization.
