University of Pittsburgh Master’s and Certification Programs in Research Administration

Project Description

Expanding the research administrator talent pool at Pitt and creating both an internal and national pipeline of professionals with advanced training in research administration are critical for addressing the challenges in this field that have intensified nationally following the pandemic. A solution is to create an online master’s degree and certifications programs in research administration. In collaboration with Katz Graduate School of Business, Human Resources, University Center for Teaching and Learning, Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, and external consultants, University-approved curriculums and a fully integrated program will be designed during this one-year phase of the overall project.
